This marks the final round of trials before the truck’s highly anticipated series production at year’s end.

From January to March, engineers rigorously tested refined prototypes of the eActros 600, enduring temperatures as low as minus 35 degrees Celsius.

These trials were pivotal in validating the electric truck’s performance and reliability under extreme weather conditions.

Debuting last October, the eActros 600 is distinguished by its high battery capacity of over 600 kilowatt-hours, denoted in its model name. This robust battery, coupled with an innovative in-house developed electric drive axle, enables the e-truck to achieve an impressive range of 500 kilometers without needing intermediate charging.

The eActros 600 also introduces the possibility of megawatt charging (MCS) in the future, alongside the current CCS charging capability of up to 400 kW. Its design breaks new ground, featuring a puristic, aerodynamic shape with clear lines, setting it apart visually.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks emphasizes the eActros 600’s potential for profitability in fleet operations. Its long-term goal is to replace a significant portion of diesel trucks in the crucial long-haul transport segment. The company’s strategy encompasses a holistic approach, offering a complete solution that includes vehicle technology, consultation services, charging infrastructure, and additional services.

Upon market launch, Mercedes-Benz Trucks will not only offer the tractor unit but also introduce rigid variants of the eActros 600. This expansion caters to a broader spectrum of electric transport applications.

The eActros 600’s development and upcoming launch signify a major step forward in environmentally friendly long-haul transport, marking a milestone in Mercedes-Benz Trucks’ journey towards sustainable trucking solutions.
