September 04 2024 08:12:02 UTC– E.ON is set to enhance the electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure in Germany by equipping MediaMarktSaturn locations with state-of-the-art fast-charging stations. By 2026, approximately 300 new public charging points will be installed at around 80 of the retail giant’s stores. The first fast-charging stations are already in the planning and construction phase, with customers expected to benefit from numerous charging options as early as 2024.
These locations will feature ultra-fast High Power Chargers (HPC) capable of delivering up to 300 kilowatts of power, allowing EV drivers to charge up to 200 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes while they shop. E.ON will provide 100% green electricity at all charging points, further strengthening its nationwide E.ON Drive network and making the stores even more attractive to customers.
