Bonn, Germany — Deutsche Telekom’s CEO, Tim Höttges, Wednesday expresses confidence in the company’s future growth, emphasizing the importance of artificial intelligence (AI) and leveraging economies of scale. He was presenting at the company’s annual general meeting (AGM).

Talking about the rapidly growing importance of AI, Höttges said: “AI is here to stay. AI is the future. We now use AI in some 400 projects, Deutsche Telekom-wide. It helps us optimize quality. It brings us closer to our customers. It enhances our productivity. By up to 50 percent for routine tasks.

Investments in AI have led to increased productivity and customer satisfaction. The company plans to continue expanding its fiber-optic network and increase dividends for shareholders.

Deutsche Telekom is Germany’s most valuable brand, due to its international business arms including T-Mobile in the U.S. The brand value is gauged at 73.5 billion US Dollars, enjoying high consumer trust and a strong market position, the BrandZ study by Kantar found. The survey confirmed the brand’s success and growth.
