September 02 2024 06:09:33 UTC– Saint-Gobain sells Freeglass GmbH & Co. KG to HF Opportunities GmbH as part of its business optimization strategy in the automotive industry. freeglass is a pioneer of new functionalized automotive glazing.

HF Opportunities advises institutional investors on investments in companies in the DACH region.

Freeglass, located in Schwaikheim, Germany, has been a significant player in the plastic polymer components sector since 1998, generating sales close to €20 million in 2023 with a workforce of approximately 120 employees.

freeglass was founded in 2001 as a joint venture between Saint-Gobain Sekurit and the then Schefenacker AG, after the first plastic panes had already been jointly developed and produced since 1998.
