  • Saint-Gobain said these investments reinforce its leadership in light and sustainable construction across Latin America.

PARIS, France — Saint-Gobain acquired QSI Productos para la Construcción in Peru and announced a new plasterboard production line in Brazil. The company aims to strengthen its construction chemicals platform and expand its plasterboard capacity across Latin America.

The French-based building materials company said in an emailed press release today that these initiatives support regional growth and align with its Lead & Grow plan.

Peru Acquisition

Saint-Gobain completed the acquisition of QSI Productos para la Construcción. This transaction strengthens Saint-Gobain’s regional construction chemicals platform in Peru. The platform already includes Soquimic, acquired in 2025, and established brands like Weber and Z Aditivos. The acquisition reinforces the company’s position in key end markets such as infrastructure and mining in Peru.

Brazil Expansion

Saint-Gobain announced the construction of a fourth plasterboard production line at its plant in the State of Bahia, Brazil. This investment follows the inauguration of a third plasterboard production line at the same site in 2024. Once completed, the facility will host the largest plasterboard production line in South America. This expansion will support the growing adoption of light construction in the region.

Regional Strategy

These two initiatives reinforce Saint-Gobain’s position in Latin America. The company aims to be a strategic partner in the construction value chain. This strategy aligns with the Group’s Lead & Grow plan.
