August 30 2024 07:01:09 UTC– In a remarkable collaboration, around 30 apprentices from Daimler Truck’s Mannheim location partnered with popular YouTubers “The Real Life Guys” to showcase their technical prowess.

Within three weeks, they transformed an old truck tipper into a drivable, mobile XXL bathtub, equipped with modern pool technology, seating for 20, and a one-meter-wide showerhead. The partnership between Daimler Truck’s apprentices and “The Real Life Guys” is the latest in a series of unconventional engineering feats by the YouTubers, who are known for turning everyday objects into extraordinary machines. Their history of bathtub-based inventions includes a manned submarine made from bathtubs in 2017, which was capable of diving up to 10 meters. The submarine project, which ultimately resulted in an implosion at 12 meters, is remembered by the creators as one of their most hazardous endeavors.

Flying Bathtub Takes Innovation to New Heights

In 2018, “The Real Life Guys” pushed the boundaries of creativity even further by converting a bathtub into a manned drone, one of the first of its kind in Germany. This flying bathtub, equipped with six powerful motors, enabled the team to fly to various destinations, including a local bakery. With a flight duration of around six minutes, the drone could carry a total weight of 140 kg and reached altitudes of up to 30 meters without requiring special permits.

A Collaboration That Combines Technical Expertise with Imagination

The mobile XXL bathtub project is a testament to the synergy between Daimler Truck’s skilled apprentices and the imaginative vision of “The Real Life Guys.” Over three weeks, they transformed an old truck tipper into a drivable, fully functional pool with modern amenities like a wood-burning stove, seating for 20, and a massive showerhead. The collaboration not only demonstrates their technical skills but also reflects the creative spirit that has defined the YouTubers’ previous projects, such as their dream treehouse, which stands seven meters tall with three floors.

Making a Splash at the MACHER Festival

Following its construction, the mobile bathtub was unveiled at the “MACHER Festival” near Leipzig, where it quickly became a highlight for festival-goers. The project’s popularity was further amplified by the YouTube video documenting its creation, which garnered over 1.6 million views in just one week. This event marks another milestone in “The Real Life Guys'” growing legacy of turning whimsical ideas into reality, captivating audiences with each new venture.
