• Daimler Truck Delivers Custom Setra Coaches to Tour Operator and Bundesliga Club
LEINFELDEN-ECHTERDINGEN, Germany – Daimler Truck announced on January 20 that its Setra brand has delivered two new, highly customized coaches to German clients: a double-decker for tour operator
Unser Roter Bus GmbH and a team bus for the Bundesliga soccer club 1. FC Heidenheim 1846.
What is new?
In a press release, Daimler Truck detailed the delivery of two Setra coaches featuring specialized configurations for a tour operator and a professional sports team. The vehicles, an S 531 DT double-decker and an S 517 HDH model, were built to provide a unique travel experience for their respective passengers.
Coach for ‘Unser Roter Bus’
The tour operator Unser Roter Bus, based in UeckermĂĽnde, received a new Setra S 531 DT double-decker coach. The vehicle’s upper deck features a space-enhancing 2+1 seating arrangement with 32 leather seats, each equipped with an individual monitor system for video and audio content. The lower deck includes a bistro area for up to 16 passengers, seated under an illuminated starry ceiling.
The coach’s kitchen is equipped with three beverage taps, four refrigerators, a convection oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a wine cooler. The vehicle, which is used for city, wine, and Mediterranean tours, is also fitted with all currently available driver assistance and safety systems.
New Team Bus for 1. FC Heidenheim
Omnibus Grötzinger GmbH, the travel partner for Bundesliga club 1. FC Heidenheim 1846, is providing the team with a new Setra S 517 HDH coach. Replacing a vehicle that was in service for eleven years, the new bus is configured to transport the players, coaches, and support staff. It contains 32 seats with headrests embroidered with the club’s logo.
The coach’s interior is finished in the club colors of red, blue, and white and includes a Dolby sound system, video screens, and lockable storage compartments. Perforated window film offers passenger privacy. Outside the soccer season, the bus will also be used by Omnibus Grötzinger for its own travel programs.
