Mon Nov 11 11:37:55 -0000 2024 UTC– Stellantis vehicles now fully compatible with eco-friendly HVO Diesel fuel derived from renewable sources, offering similar performance to traditional Diesel, and validated for many Euro 5 and Euro 6 models, showcasing the company’s commitment to sustainability.

What is HVO Diesel?

HVO Diesel is produced from 100% renewable raw materials. The abbreviation HVO stands for Hydrotreated Vegetable Oils. The vegetable oils are refined and converted into hydrocarbons by means of a catalytic reaction in which hydrogen is also added.

The fuel significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions. By using HVO100 Regenerativ, which is made from 100% renewable raw materials, greenhouse gas emissions (CO2eq) are reduced by up to 90% over the life cycle of the fuel compared to fossil diesel.
