Thu Nov 07 18:01:41 -0000 2024 UTC– VINCI has appointed Nicolas Notebaert as Chief Executive Officer of Concessions, the company announced today. In his expanded role, Mr. Notebaert will report directly to Pierre Anjolras, the Chief Operating Officer of VINCI.
Previously responsible for the VINCI Concessions business line, which includes VINCI Airports, Highways, Railways, and public-private partnerships, Notebaert will now also manage VINCI Autoroutes and VINCI Stadium.
This leadership change is intended to streamline VINCI’s organizational structure, enhancing synergies across its various concession businesses. The move follows the resignation of Pierre Coppey as Chairman of VINCI Autoroutes, a position Mr. Notebaert will now also fill.
Nicolas Notebaert
Born in 1970, Nicolas Notebaert is an alumnus of the prestigious École Polytechnique and École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, with an MBA. He joined VINCI in 2002, initially serving in the Operations Department at Cofiroute, before moving to VINCI Concessions as Director of Business Development for France in 2004.
By 2008, he had risen to Chairman of VINCI Airports, where he transformed the division into the world’s largest private airport operator, managing over 70 airports in 14 countries. In 2016, he was promoted to CEO of VINCI Concessions and joined the VINCI Executive Committee. He has been instrumental in expanding the Group’s motorway concessions beyond France.
Why This Matters
VINCI’s strategic reshuffle is aimed at bolstering its position in the global concessions market. By consolidating oversight under Mr. Notebaert, who has a proven track record in scaling operations, VINCI aims to optimize its portfolio of infrastructure assets. This organizational change is expected to drive greater efficiency, particularly in the increasingly competitive sectors of airports and highways.
