Bonn, Germany —Deutsche Telekom said Friday it successfully migrated its voice telephony platform to the cloud. Now, over 17 million customer connections now being handled through the cloud data centers in Germany.
The transition allows for more flexibility and speed in introducing new service features and capacity expansion. The project involved collaboration with partners such as Juniper Networks, Mavenir, Microsoft, HPE, Red Hat, and Lenovo. Telekom plans to implement the cloud and automation model in other voice applications, 5G Core, and access networks.
