Safran Aircraft Engines plans to acquire CRT (Component Repair Technologies), a leading U.S. company in aircraft engine part repairs. This move will expand Safran’s maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capabilities in the Americas.
Strengthening U.S. Presence
CRT, based in Mentor, 🇺🇸 Ohio, employs over 450 people. The company specializes in repairing large engine components, including parts for the CFM56, LEAP, and large turbofan engines.
Expanding Global Network
CRT will join Safran’s existing network of repair centers. This includes facilities in 🇫🇷 France, 🇺🇸 Florida, and 🇲🇽 Mexico. The acquisition supports Safran’s growing LEAP engine services and aligns with its carbon reduction goals.
