Tue Nov 05 11:01:04 -0000 2024 UTC– In a move that underscores their loyalty to the Setra brand, Bavarian bus companies Hörmann Reisen and Stewa Touristik are adding new Setra S 531 DT double-decker coaches to their fleets. The Hanover-based Kings Travel Busvermietung joins as a new Setra customer, ordering six S 531 DT coaches as part of an expansion.

Hörmann Reisen, a family-owned company based in Augsburg, has added two new 5-star Setra double-decker coaches, each equipped with 68 custom-upholstered seats and a panoramic glass roof. The lower deck offers a spacious kitchen, allowing service staff to prepare snacks for passengers during travel. As Germany’s first climate-positive coach tour operator, Hörmann Reisen holds a sustainability seal from Fokus Zukunft, an independent consultancy. The company’s diverse offerings include long-distance trips, wellness vacations, and port transfers, and its current fleet now includes 14 Setra vehicles.

Stewa Touristik, headquartered in Kleinostheim, has also expanded its fleet with two new S 531 DT double-decker coaches, elevating its total to 23 vehicles. These bistro-style coaches offer 5-star Superior comfort, verified by the Gütegemeinschaft Buskomfort e.V., with spacious seating, enhanced cushioning, and supportive neck, head, and calf rests. Adjustable tray tables maintain stability in all seating positions, creating a comfortable travel experience.

This expansion highlights the sustained demand for Setra’s premium double-decker coaches among German tour operators, signaling a commitment to both passenger comfort and environmental responsibility. For companies like Hörmann Reisen and Stewa Touristik, these high-end, spacious coaches cater to a growing market for eco-friendly, luxurious travel experiences across Germany.
