Frankfurt, Germany — Eintracht Frankfurt’s team captain Sebastian Rohde hope to return to the pitch tomorrow, when his team faces Union Saint-Gilloise in an match on Thursday, Rohde told a press conference Wednesday.

Rohde is ready:

“I also really want to help on the pitch”, Rohde said in the press conference, adding “but in the end it’s up to Dino” Toppmöller, Frankfurt’s head coach.

Toppmöller sitting next to him on a panel, remained cautious to hand out blank checks, but noted that the odds for Rohde’s participation were not all bad.

Eintrach Frankfurt (SGE) faces Union Saint-Gilloise (USG) faces in an upcoming international match in the UEFA Europa Conference League​. The fixture is set to be a vibrant international match.

In the UEFA Europa Conference League for the 2023/2024 season, Eintracht Frankfurt’s performance has been a mix of wins and losses.

For USG, the sporting turnaround began in 2018 when Englishman Tony Bloom, majority shareholder and chairman of Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion, joined the club. Despite coronavirus, USG returned to the Belgian top flight in 2021 and immediately established itself at the top.
