Open Books Events Highlight the Book Release

Panel Discussions at the Book Fair
The excitement continues on Sunday, October 20, with two sessions at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Horeni will participate in an “Open Stage” event at 10:30 a.m., joined by Eintracht’s Axel Hellmann, player Makoto Hasebe, and Uli Stein, with stadium announcer Daniel Wolf moderating. Following the discussion, fans will have the chance to meet the author and have their books signed.
Later, at 1:00 p.m., Horeni, Hellmann, and Stein will join popular podcaster Basti Red for a segment called “Die 30-Minuten-WG” at the Penguin Random House booth (Hall 3.0, Stand D21). A Journey Through Eintracht’s Storied History
The book covers nearly a century of history, featuring personal accounts from players who have experienced both historical and contemporary moments with the club. Interviews range from early players like German champions Ekko Feigenspan and Egon Loy, who lived through World War II, to young talents like Randal Kolo Muani and Laura Freigang, who were born in the late 1990s. Among others, football star Mario Götze and long-time Eintracht captain Makoto Hasebe share their professional journeys, while Uli Stein and Tony Yeboah revisit the thrilling era of “Fußball 2000.” This diverse cast paints a comprehensive picture of Eintracht’s past and present.
