Introduction of Stimmen der Eintracht
In a unique celebration of football and literature, bestselling author Michael Horeni has released his latest book, Stimmen der Eintracht, in collaboration with Eintracht Frankfurt and the publisher C. Bertelsmann, part of Penguin Random House.

The book features deeply personal interviews with twelve current and former Eintracht Frankfurt players, coaches, and prominent fans. These “voices of Eintracht” reflect on their lives, careers, and the importance of the club in their journeys, weaving a rich tapestry of the club’s history through the lives of those who have been part of it.

Open Books Events Highlight the Book Release
As part of the city’s “Open Books” event series, Horeni will make several appearances to discuss Stimmen der Eintracht alongside well-known former Eintracht players. On Friday, October 18, at 8:00 p.m., Horeni will be joined by football legends Jan Åge Fjørtoft and Uli Stein for an event at the Evangelische Akademie Frankfurt. This collaboration with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung will be open to the public free of charge, offering fans a unique opportunity to engage with the book’s themes and stories.

Panel Discussions at the Book Fair
The excitement continues on Sunday, October 20, with two sessions at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Horeni will participate in an “Open Stage” event at 10:30 a.m., joined by Eintracht’s Axel Hellmann, player Makoto Hasebe, and Uli Stein, with stadium announcer Daniel Wolf moderating. Following the discussion, fans will have the chance to meet the author and have their books signed.

Later, at 1:00 p.m., Horeni, Hellmann, and Stein will join popular podcaster Basti Red for a segment called “Die 30-Minuten-WG” at the Penguin Random House booth (Hall 3.0, Stand D21). This lively conversation promises to explore the intersection of football and culture, offering fans insight into the unique stories featured in Stimmen der Eintracht.

A Journey Through Eintracht’s Storied History
The book covers nearly a century of history, featuring personal accounts from players who have experienced both historical and contemporary moments with the club. Interviews range from early players like German champions Ekko Feigenspan and Egon Loy, who lived through World War II, to young talents like Randal Kolo Muani and Laura Freigang, who were born in the late 1990s. Among others, football star Mario Götze and long-time Eintracht captain Makoto Hasebe share their professional journeys, while Uli Stein and Tony Yeboah revisit the thrilling era of “Fußball 2000.” This diverse cast paints a comprehensive picture of Eintracht’s past and present.

A Book Fair to Remember
This year’s book fair showcases not only the latest in publishing but also the passion surrounding one of Germany’s most beloved football clubs. With Stimmen der Eintracht, Horeni offers readers a heartfelt look at what it means to be part of the Eintracht family. From historic players to the voices of today, the book captures the spirit of Eintracht Frankfurt and the enduring connection between the club, its players, and fans.
