Bonn, Germany — DHL Group announced Tuesday that its sponsorship with Formula 1 will be extended.
A key highlight of this renewed alliance is the shared commitment to sustainability, particularly significant as Formula 1 accelerates towards its Net Zero goal by 2030. DHL’s pioneering efforts in sustainable logistics were showcased last year with the introduction of biofuel-powered trucks during the European leg of the Formula 1 season.
This initiative has seen growth this year, with the fleet more than doubling to a total of 37 trucks. These biofuel-powered trucks represent a major leap forward in reducing carbon emissions, achieving an average reduction of 83% compared to traditional diesel-driven counterparts.
The partnership’s focus on sustainable logistics solutions is a testament to both organizations’ dedication to environmental stewardship. As Formula 1 continues to evolve, integrating cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices, DHL’s role as the Official Logistics Partner will be crucial in ensuring the seamless and eco-friendly delivery of one of the world’s most thrilling sports.
