LEINFELDEN-ECHTERDINGEN, Germany — Daimler Truck has completed a secondary offering of shares in ARCHION Corporation.
The Daimler Truck Group said in an emailed press release today that the transaction reduced its equity stake in ARCHION to 25%. This aligns with the planned ownership structure for ARCHION following the business integration of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation and Hino Motors, Ltd. The offering generated approximately €600 million in cash proceeds for Daimler Truck.
Strategic Milestone Achieved
Eva Scherer, CFO of Daimler Truck, stated that reducing the shareholding in ARCHION to 25% represents an important strategic milestone. She added that the secondary offering increased ARCHION’s free float and completed its transition to an independently listed company. Daimler Truck remains a committed shareholder and will continue to support ARCHION.
Business Integration Goals
Daimler Truck views the business integration of Mitsubishi Fuso and Hino as a key step in its strategy to unlock full potential. The company aims to increase long-term efficiency and strengthen its focus on heavy-duty commercial vehicles. The move also seeks to realize scale where it creates value.
