Wind Challenger

This groundbreaking project will mark the world’s first LNG carrier equipped with such a wind-assisted propulsion system. The Wind Challenger, featuring telescopic sails, is designed to reduce fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, reflecting Chevron and MOL’s commitment to lowering the carbon intensity of their operations.

The vessel has already received approval in principle (AiP) from Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (Class NK), further solidifying its pioneering status in the maritime industry.

Gastech Exhibition & Conference

At the MOL booth at the Gastech Exhibition & Conference 2024 in Houston, September 17-20, 2024, the Wind Challenger technology will be on exhibit.
