WARSAW, Poland — CD PROJEKT S.A. reported increased revenues and net profit for the first half of 2026. The Polish video-game developer also detailed its upcoming release schedule for The Witcher universe, including a remastered edition and a new main series game.
CD PROJEKT said in an emailed press release today that its consolidated net profit rose 37% to 249 million PLN in the first six months of the year. Revenues increased by 23% to 435 million PLN compared to the same period last year. The group’s net profitability for the half-year was 57.2%.
Witcher Universe Expands
The company announced a strong publishing lineup for The Witcher universe. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered is scheduled to launch on September 29, 2026. This remastered edition will be available for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and as a native Nintendo Switch 2 release. Existing owners of the base game can download it free of charge.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past, a new expansion developed with Fool’s Theory, is scheduled for a 2027 release. CD PROJEKT RED unveiled a gameplay trailer for Songs of the Past at gamescom in Cologne. The company plans for The Witcher 4 to have a release window in 2028.
Michał Nowakowski, Joint CEO of CD PROJEKT RED, stated that this schedule allows the company to chart the future of the universe over multiple years. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has sold over 65 million copies, and global sales for the entire series have surpassed 90 million copies.
Cyberpunk Franchise Growth
The Cyberpunk franchise continues to expand. Cyberpunk 2077 has crossed 40 million copies sold nearly six years after its release. Its Phantom Liberty expansion has sold 15 million copies in less than three years.
CD PROJEKT is also expanding the Cyberpunk franchise through licensing. Night City, the setting of Cyberpunk, has appeared in games like Wuthering Waves and Apex Legends. A Cyberpunk TCG became the most funded gaming project on Kickstarter. The anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, co-developed with Studio TRIGGER, will launch on Netflix on October 20.
Piotr Nielubowicz, CFO of CD PROJEKT RED, attributed the high revenues to strong sales from the Cyberpunk and Witcher universes. He added that IP licensing is becoming increasingly important for the company.
