Munich, Germany — In a significant development for the defense and cybersecurity sector, Airbus Defence and Space has announced an agreement to acquire Infodas, a German company specializing in cybersecurity and IT solutions.
This move aligns with Airbus’ strategic objective to enhance its cybersecurity capabilities, especially in the context of the burgeoning threats in cyberspace and the digital transformation of its products and systems, the airplane maker said.

The escalating cyber threats and the digitization and interconnectedness of Airbus’ products necessitate a robust cybersecurity framework. Airbus has steadily developed its cybersecurity expertise over the years to safeguard its operations, customers, and larger ecosystem. Major programs like the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) underscore the importance of this initiative.
Infodas: A Snapshot
Infodas, based in Cologne, Germany, is renowned for its cybersecurity and IT solutions, particularly in the public sector, defense, and critical infrastructures. BSI Certified
The Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) has certified Infodas as an IT security service provider in key areas like information system auditing, consulting, and penetration tests. The company’s SDoT Security Gateway product family, approved for classified information levels up to secret, further strengthens its portfolio. These products also hold certifications in Common Criteria and possess other country-specific certifications.
