ABB Secured $150 Million Contract to Power Australia’s QTMP Trains

Zurich, Switzerland — ABB said Friday it secured a $150 million contract to power Australia’s QTMP trains, setting up a new facility in Queensland.

They will supply traction packages for 65 new passenger trains, operational by 2032 for the Brisbane Olympics.

The project supports job growth and sustainable rail infrastructure. ABB’s advanced technology reduces costs and environmental impact, establishing a local Traction Center of Excellence.
