It earned a place on its annual ‘A List’.
ABB is one of a few companies to achieve an ‘A’ score out of over 21,000 companies assessed. The company’s rigorous science-based net-zero targets approach and commitment to sustainability were highlighted as reasons for its recognition.
ABB has submitted its new targets to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for validation in 2024. The company aims to achieve an 80% reduction in CO2e emissions by 2030 and 100% by 2050, compared to a 2019 baseline. ABB also aims to reduce Scope 3 CO2e emissions by 25% by 2030 and 90% by 2050. Additionally, the company aims to help customers avoid 600 megatons of CO2e emissions from 2022 to 2030.
