Key Leadership Changes Effective June 2024

(Vienna, Austria) – A1 Austria announced Wednesday a significant management reshuffle, signaling a new era in its leadership and strategic direction. Dejan Turk, currently at the helm of A1 Serbia & A1 Slovenia, is set to take over as CEO of A1 Croatia & A1 Slovenia from June 1, 2024. This move follows the departure of Jiří Dvorjančanský, the long-serving CEO of A1 Croatia and A1 North Macedonia, who has decided not to renew his contract ending in May 2024.

Judit Albers is poised to become the new CEO of A1 Serbia, also effective June 1, 2024. Albers, a veteran in the telecommunications industry with over 25 years of experience, joined the A1 Group in 2021 and has been instrumental in transforming its International Business division. Her extensive background spans several A1 countries, including roles in Germany and Azerbaijan.

In North Macedonia, Metodija Mirchev, currently the Executive Director for A1, will ascend to the role of CEO. Joining A1 in 2020, Mirchev’s deep industry knowledge and focus on local market dynamics have been key to his success.

Alejandro Plater, CEO of A1 Group, expressed his gratitude to Jiří Dvorjančanský for his nearly a decade of exemplary service, noting his structured approach, attention to detail, and commitment to learning and growth. Plater extended his best wishes to Judit Albers, Dejan Turk, and Metodija Mirchev as they take on their new roles and the challenges ahead.

These leadership changes mark a significant phase in A1 Austria’s journey, reflecting its commitment to continual growth and adaptation in the rapidly evolving telecommunications landscape.
