ST. PAUL, United States — 3M launched a new heat-management solution for vehicle roofs. The product, called 3M Cooling Film, aims to keep cabin interiors cooler and enhance operational efficiency for transportation operators.
The U.S. industrial and materials company said in an emailed press release today that the film is designed to address increasing heat challenges in transportation environments. Wendy Bauer, group president of 3M’s Transportation and Electronics Business Group, stated the film helps customers manage heat affecting fleet efficiency, cargo, and comfort.

The film uses advanced thermal management technology. It reflects more than 85% of solar radiation. This engineering reduces heat buildup without requiring additional energy. The film resists UV exposure, rain, and temperature cycling. It maintains high reflectivity for years.
