Over a third of German students starting MINT (Mathematics, Informatics, Natural Sciences, and Technology) courses in Germany are women, reaching a record high of 35% in 2022, destatis said Wednesday. However, the overall number of MINT students has slightly decreased. On the other hand, the number of apprentices in the field of computer science has increased by 70% in the past decade. Despite the demand for professionals in MINT fields, women still choose to study in these areas less frequently than men.
