Wiesbaden, Germany — According to the German Statistical Federal Office (DESTATIS), the number of requested regular insolvencies in Germany increased by a whopping 26.2% in January 2024 compared to January 2023.
Additionally, there was a 15.3% increase in corporate insolvencies in November 2023 compared to November 2022, while consumer insolvencies decreased by 1.0% in the same period.
These numbers have been consistently increasing since June 2023, although they are still slightly below pre-pandemic levels.
