German Gas Prices for Private Households down 6.9% in the Second Half of 2023

Wiesbaden, Germany — Gas prices for private households fell by 6.9% in the second half of 2023, but remain high overall Electricity prices for private households fell by 1.3% in the same period, the Federal Statistics Office said Thursday.

Gas prices for non-household customers fell by 12.5%, electricity prices by 1.7%.

Gas prices rose significantly compared to 2022 and 2021. Electricity prices also rose compared to previous years.
