NEW YORK AND CHICAGO, United States – FanDuel and CME Group on December 22, 2025, launched a new prediction markets platform, FanDuel Predicts, in five U.S. states.
The mobile application allows customers to trade contracts based on their views of future events across finance, sports, and culture.
What is new?
FanDuel, a subsidiary of Flutter Entertainment, and the derivatives marketplace CME Group have introduced a new mobile application named FanDuel Predicts. The platform launched on December 22, 2025, in Alabama, Alaska, South Carolina, North Dakota, and South Dakota. This marks the beginning of a phased national rollout planned to continue through early 2026.
Platform Details
FanDuel Predicts is a mobile application available on the Apple App Store and Google Play that enables users to buy or sell event contracts. Customers can trade on whether an event will occur by choosing “Yes” or “No,” with contract prices ranging from $0.01 to $0.99. The platform offers contracts on financial benchmarks such as the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100, prices of commodities like oil and gas, gold, cryptocurrencies, and key economic indicators including GDP and CPI. To use the service, customers must complete a “Know Your Customer” verification process, which requires submitting their birth date, Social Security number, address, banking information, and a government-issued ID.
Market Scope and Regulation
Contracts based on financial markets will be available in all 50 states. Sports-related contracts covering baseball, basketball, football, and hockey will be offered in states where online sports betting is not yet legal, excluding tribal lands. FanDuel Predicts will cease offering sports event contracts in states as they legalize online sports betting. FanDuel will implement consumer protection features in the app, including options for users to set deposit limits, receive deposit alerts, or self-exclude. Mental health services will also be provided through Kindbridge Behavior Health.
