SEOUL, South Korea — Shell Lubricants and Hyundai Motor Company renewed their global partnership for five years. The agreement continues a collaboration that started in 2005.
Shell said in an emailed press release today that the renewal reinforces a shared commitment to performance, innovation, and value.
Partnership Details
The renewed agreement means Shell remains Hyundai Motor’s recommended global supplier of aftersales lubricants. Shell will supply its premium Shell Helix engine oil products to Hyundai Motor customers worldwide.
Expanded Collaboration
The companies will continue to develop advanced lubricant technologies and support high-performance vehicle programs. They also plan to expand service marketing programs designed to strengthen customer satisfaction.
Lee Ming Seow, Vice President, Global Key Accounts and New Business Development, Shell Lubricants, noted the expansion of collaboration into next-generation e-fluids, thermal management, digital innovation, and high-performance mobility.
Motorsport and Performance
The partnership extends to Genesis, Hyundai Motor Group’s luxury brand. Shell will serve as the Performance and Innovation Partner for Genesis Magma Racing in its 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship debut.
Shell has also been the official sponsor of the Hyundai Shell MOBIS World Rally Team since 2014. The collaboration includes the Hyundai N Division to co-engineer lubricants for high-performance engines and electric vehicles.
