Wiesbaden, Germany — Destatis said Tuesday that the average daily growth of settlement and traffic areas in Germany decreased to 52 hectares per day from 2019 to 2022, down from 55 hectares per day in the previous years.
The government aims to limit this growth to under 30 hectares per day by 2030.
