- DHL and Hapag-Lloyd Partner to Decarbonize Global Supply Chains
**BONN** – Global logistics company DHL Group and shipping line Hapag-Lloyd have signed an agreement to advance the decarbonization of their supply chain operations. The collaboration was announced as part of both companies’ efforts to meet ambitious environmental targets.
The partnership aims to reduce the carbon footprint of global shipping and logistics. This move aligns with Hapag-Lloyd’s goal to achieve net-zero fleet emissions by the year 2045 and DHL Group’s objective of reaching net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050.
Through this agreement, the two industry leaders will work together on initiatives to create more sustainable logistics solutions for their customers worldwide, marking a significant step in the industry’s collective push toward environmental responsibility.
